October 29, 2022, fall concert. 7:30 p.m. at Alpena High School auditorium., 3303 South Third Ave. in Alpena
Please join the ASO for the October Winds fall concert. Jim Van Eizenga will conduct the orchestra, which will feature Dr. Andrew Sprung of Spring Arbor University as a guest soloist. Dr. Sprung will perform "Clarinet Concerto in Eb Major" by Franz Krommer. The ASO will also perform Mozart's "Overture to Cosi Fan Tutte" and the "Arriaga Symphony" by Spanish Basque composer Juan Crisostomo Arriaga.
Tickets are $15.00 for adults. Students and children free.
Tickets are available at the door.

November 6, 2022, "Autumn Serenade". 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist church in Alpena.
A variety of soloists and ensembles featuring musicians from the Alpena Symphony Orchestra and ASO String School.
This serenade concert is free, with donations gladly accepted.

December 3, 2022, Holiday concert. 7:30 p.m. at Alpena High School auditorium.
Plan to attend the Saturday, December 3, 2022, concert performed by the Alpena Symphony Orchestra titled “Holiday Pops”, that will be certain to get you in the mood of the season. This 7:30 PM performance will be held at the Alpena High School Auditorium, 3303 S. Third Ave. and will be directed by maestro Jim VanEizenga, Director of Orchestras for Novi High School in Novi, MI. The audience can anticipate hearing some old favorites, such as: Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and “Christmas Festival”, “A Most Wonderful Christmas” by Roy Sheldon and several delightful Christmas medleys, to mention just a few selections. Please remember to mark your calendars.
The ASO is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. There will be a reception in the high school lobby following the performance.
Tickets are $15.00 for adults. Students and children free. Tickets are available at the door.

December 18, 2022 "Christmas Serenade". 4:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church
located at 5462 W. Nicholson Hill Road in in Hubbard Lake.

April 2, 2023 "April Serenade". 4:00 p.m. at First United Methodist church located at 167 Ripley in Alpena. A variety of soloists and ensembles featuring musicians from the Alpena Symphony Orchestra and ASO String School.

May 6, 2023. "Spring Gala" concert 7:30 pm at the Alpena High School auditorium, 3303 South Third Ave in Alpena.
The orchestra will be directed by maestro Jim Van Eizenga, Director of Orchestras for Novi High School, Novi, MI. The featured soloist will be Tyler Kivel, a Chicago-based pianist. He will perform "Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In addition to the concerto, the ASO will perform Beethoven's "Symphony No. 1 in C Major". You won't want to miss hearing these two masterpieces by two of the world's outstanding composers.
Tickets are $15.00 for adults. Students and children are free. Tickets are available at the door.
A reception will follow the performance in the lobby.
